Witch Hunts: Do they run in our blood?

Whenever our country seems to have found a boogeyman, it attacks them with a he-said-she-said attitude. The Salem Witch Hunts, McCarthyism. Its in our blood. Now, people think its cool to go around calling American Muslims "radicalized" Muslims. Those Republican pussies are too scared to call them radical Muslims cuz if they did, then it would seem as if we would be infringing on their First Amendment rights. Listen up, fools: it doesn't matter what you call it, a hunt for "radicalized" Muslims is a Witch Hunt.

First of all, let me clarify: this hearing is being held by an asshole named Peter King. This is the same guy who is open about his love affair with the IRA (the Irish Republic Army). Yeah, the idiots who take up arms against innocent civilians to gain independence from Great Britain. And, wanna know the irony of this whole thing: the Northern Irish want to separate away from the British because they are Catholic (Mr. King too is a catholic) and the British are Protestant. Hmm...sound familiar? That's right, my friends. The IRA takes up arms for "religious independence." What do we call this? Radicalized Islam? It is clear that this man is not trying to fight terror...he supports a terrorist group. In fact, he is just fighting American Muslims, who have been affected by 9/11 as the rest of us...if not more.

Oh, but the flight doesn't stop there. This man wants to take down Mosques in America. Mr. King believes Mosques teach "Sharia" Law. This Law system as violent as it may seem at first glance, Mr. King, actually is derived from Hammurabi's Code, a piece of history intertwined with religion. And even if anyone may think it is wrong to teach that in a religious pretext, good riddance to you. The first amendment's "Free Exercise" clause and its "Freedom of Speech" right protects this. And just because it is studied and a part of Islam, doesn't mean all Muslims follow, you dumbass.

Have you read the Bible? Do you actually believe in everything its says?

1 Timothy chapter 2:

Also that women should adorn themselves modestly and sensibly in seemly apparel, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly attire but by good deeds, as befits women who profess religion. 

1 Corinthians 11:

For if a woman will not veil herself, then she should cut off her hair; but if it is disgraceful for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her wear a veil.

1 Corinthians 14:

As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says.

So, Mr. King, are you sexist then because this is the stuff taught in Churches. Shall we close down all the Churches in the United States because they teach "the Law" which constraints a woman's basic rights...or is that not violent enough. Oh...that's right the IRA does not count as a terrorist group because you support them. 

To all those who support Mr. King and his ignorance, think again. Everything seems evil on the other side, but when you come to think about it, everything is done for a reason. I am Hindu. My family was persecuted and tortured by Muslims...but that doesn't mean I hate all Muslims. And neither shall you. Let's use Biblical philosophy and Gandhism and "Love our enemy" and love our fellow Americans who have done us no harm.

We shouldn't concentrate on tinkering with how Islam is practiced. That is unconstitutional. Rather, we should broaden our fight to incorporate as a whole. Whether its a Muslim, Christian or Hindu on the other side of the gun, it is still a person who will feel the pain of our mistakes. Let us create a new reformation. Lets us invite these radicals to speak to us about their hardships. Let's create salutary dialogue to draw radicals as far away from guns as possible. Fight the violence. Peace, Peace, Peace!
