Attack! America's Third War?

A South Korean island torn and two marines dead, the Obama administration has to make a decision now that will epitomize its term. Yes, its North Korea.

So, what are our choices. Let's see, we can ignore this, and pretend to be "pacifists." But, "Restraint could be interpreted as weakness by the unpredictable North Korean regime," right? Well, belligerence has an even "worse" outcome: bloody nuclear war. See, we're already in two unsuccessful wars, and going into another one, especially one so dangerous, will not only be a death call to our forces in Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan, but it will probably also downplay Obama's "peace" first agenda. Don't forget, this man is a Nobel Peace Prize laureate. And most importantly, there is not one "solid" reason for the US to go to war: "we ain't tryin' to save r businesses"

But, how about South Korea? This attack on Yeonpyeong is the worst one since 1953, the end of the Korean War.
The US and other countries around the world pleaded for restraint today after North Korea fired dozens of artillery shells at a South Korean island, killing two soldiers and injuring civilians. With tensions running high on the peninsula, the South Korean president, Lee Myung-bak, met his top military in an underground bunker in Seoul and ordered the air force to strike North Korean missile bases if there is any further provocation. It's obvious that things are more than a little hostile. How is this going to affect Americans? How is this going to affect India?

Well, to answer the first question, we must keep in mind that, according to the Christian Science Monitor, there are over 25,000 troops and twice as many civilians, most of whom are in the capital, Seoul. An attack, especially a nuclear attack, against S. Korea by its communist neighbor can be somewhat disastrous for the American people and its military. It may lead to a "war against communism," just like the one called off in the '90s, except this time their crazy and antisocial. N. Korea is definitely more likely to use nukes than was the former Soviet Union.

But, being optimistic, there is a flip side. If the US decides to go to war, after or before the inevitable, we will have plenty of allies...right? Maybe. China, according to a Ms Glasser of the Center for Strategic and International Studies, is definitely an ally. She said: "undoubtedly that would take us back to China." That referring to a simple objective: force N. Korea to halt. But, then, you must wonder...who else IS in that area? Japan? Doesn't have a military. Russia? Well, that's a little more complicated. See, China is connected to N. Korea through "financial and political patron[age]." Neither Russia nor any other nation on Earth have that sort of connection. Oh, wait, except Iran.

And, so, that brings us to a second point. If S. Korea were to counterattack, the N. Koreans will get pissed and fire a few missiles back, hopefully not nuclear ones. This, undoubtedly, will kill a few Americans, maybe even a few troops. Then, America will come crawling out of its shell and think to itself: "Oh, my god! I've been spending BILLIONS on stupid security measures and pointless wars, when we've actually got a nation (not a pack of mindless humbums) to fight!" And, then, it will declare war. One, in which, we will have allies  and concrete objectives. Oh, the glory of old-school warfare! Unquestionably, Iran will be on the side of N. Korea. Oh wait, thats a problem. Iran and N. Korea are equipped with nuclear weapons. Uh-oh!

So, now what? S. Korea will most definitely attack its neighbor, who will most obviously kill Americans. Now, I'm scared. Will there be a Nuclear War that all those great minds from the 20th century predicted. Well, we've still got two more years until.....DECEMBER 21, 2012, DOOMSDAY!

Well, speaking of hypothetical, what's going to happen back home? India will most obviously be pro-America, but how about Pakistan? Will it, too? Let's keep a couple things in mind. Pakistan, despite its disgusting politics, has a pretty solid military. It is also nuke-equipped. This is why it'll be a good thing if it keeps with the US. Here's the reason WHY it will: money. We've been literally feed this beast for years, its about time it does us some work, right? Hey, and maybe Indo-Paki relations will be smoothed out? No. Its too complicated.

Sigh, am I the only one who has a bad feeling about this?

life doesn’t always give us the joys we want.
we don’t always get our hopes and dreams, and we don’t always get our own way.
but don’t give up hope, because you can make a difference one situation and one person at a time.look for the beauty around you—in nature, in others, in yourself—and believe in the love of friends, family, and humankind.
